My notification preferences

Your own settings — what Heltio should remind you about, how loudly, on which device, and during which hours it should stay quiet.

This screen is about you, not the patient. It decides what Heltio warns you about, on which device and at what time of day. The settings are personal — your colleague has their own.

Notifications sent to patients are configured elsewhere: the channels in clinic notifications, the email types in email settings.

How to do it

01

Decide how many times Heltio warns you about a visit

The Reminders section has an Appointment reminders toggle and a Send reminders at list of times. Type a number of minutes and click Add — a chip appears, 15 min for instance. You can have at most five such times, each between 5 and 1440 minutes.

For each one Heltio creates a reminder along the lines of "Appointment with Anna Kowalska in 15 minutes", visible under the bell in the top bar. The full list lives on the Reminders page.

02

Choose the devices

The Channels section has four toggles:

  • Notification sounds — a chime when a notification arrives in the browser.
  • Browser push — desktop notifications, including when the Heltio tab is not in front. The browser asks for permission the first time you enter the dashboard; if you decline, the toggle will not work until you change that decision in the browser settings.
  • Mobile push — the same reminders on the phone, through the app.
  • Email reminders — see the warning below.
03

Set quiet hours

Enable quiet hours and give the times in the No notifications between field. Within that window Heltio holds sending and moves the reminder later. The exception is reminders with the Urgent priority — those always get through.

04

Turn on high-pain alerts

The Email Notifications card further down has a master Receive email notifications toggle. With it off, only critical messages get through — portal invitations and GDPR matters.

Under it, in the Practitioner Notifications section, sits High-pain alerts: an email arrives when a patient logs an exercise with pain of 8 or higher. Changes are committed with Save Preferences.

When something doesn't work

Warning

Enter a value between 5 and 1440 minutes.

What this means: The reminder time typed falls outside the allowed range.

What to do: Give a number inside that range — 1440 minutes is a day before the appointment.
Warning

This time is already added.

What this means: The same number of minutes is already on the list.

What to do: Pick a different value, or remove the existing chip.
Warning

Maximum 5 reminder times.

What this means: The list is full.

What to do: Remove one of the times before adding a new one.
Warning

Failed to save email preferences

What this means: The save did not reach the server.

What to do: Refresh the page and check the state of the toggles — the **Unsaved changes** badge shows whether anything is waiting to be saved.
Info

Disabled by clinic administrator

What this means: This email type is off for the whole clinic, so your setting changes nothing.

What to do: Ask your administrator to enable the type in [email settings](/pomoc/funkcje/komunikacja/email-do-pacjenta).

Who has access

Practitioner Clinic Admin Receptionist

Everyone working in the clinic has this screen and sets it for themselves. Nobody changes anyone else's preferences here, and the settings do not travel between clinics — after switching clinic, check them again.
