The Anamnesis copilot is a side panel in the active session, labelled "AI-suggested questions to ask". It reads what is already in the draft note and proposes up to ten follow-up questions — each with a one-sentence reason for asking it.
The copilot never writes anything on its own. A question reaches the note only after you click Add to note.
How to do it
Start the appointment and write the first few sentences
The panel works when the appointment is in progress (or the patient has been checked in) and a draft clinical note exists. Without a note you will see "Add some notes to the appointment first — AI needs context." A short description of the complaint is enough.
Click Suggest questions
The button states the price — Costs 1 credits. While it generates, the panel shows Thinking…, then fills up with question cards.
Filter by category
Every question carries exactly one category: Symptom clarification, History, Functional impact, Red flag screen, Lifestyle, Prior treatment. The chips above the list narrow the view; All brings back the full set.
Add whatever is useful
Add to note appends the question to the draft; the card flips to Added. Dismiss hides the card. The Useful and Not useful buttons change nothing in the note — they are feedback for us, acknowledged with "Thanks — we'll use this to improve suggestions."
Generate a new batch if the interview went elsewhere
Generate new batch re-reads the note — including whatever you added after the first batch — and proposes a different set. The counter above the list reads Batch 2 of 3, and Previous batch takes you back to the earlier suggestions.
The ceiling is three batches per appointment. Each one costs 1 credit.
When something doesn't work
Start the appointment before using the copilot.
What this means: The appointment is not in progress and the patient has not been checked in.
Anamnesis copilot is available only during a checked-in or in-progress appointment with a draft note.
What this means: One of the two conditions is missing: an appointment in progress, or a draft clinical note.
Not enough context to suggest good questions. Add a brief chief complaint first.
What this means: The note exists but is too thin for the model to have anything to work from.
You've already generated the maximum number of batches for this appointment.
What this means: All three batches for this appointment have been used.
Couldn't generate suggestions. Please try again.
What this means: The call did not complete on the provider's side.
Suggestion session not found.
What this means: The panel refers to a batch that no longer exists — after refreshing the screen mid-generation, for example.
Who has access
PractitionerThe copilot is run by the practitioner conducting the appointment — the same person who edits the clinical note. Reception never opens the note, so reception never sees the panel either. Every call leaves a trace in the audit log and a row on the AI activity page.
