Two-way sync of the clinic calendar with Google Calendar. The feature is built but switched off for every clinic — today you get your schedule out through the iCal feed.

The Integrations screen carries two cards: Calendar Feed (iCal) and Google Calendar Sync. The first one works and is today the only way to see your schedule in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook. The second — full two-way synchronisation — is written but switched off.

How to do it

While full synchronisation is off, you share your schedule through the iCal feed. It is one-way, read-only: appointments from Heltio appear in your calendar, but changes made there do not come back to Heltio.

01

Generate the feed address

On the Calendar Feed (iCal) card click Generate feed URL. The card changes to Feed is active and shows the feed URL field.

02

Copy the address and add it in your calendar

Copy URL puts the address on the clipboard and confirms with Feed URL copied to clipboard. In Google Calendar you add it by subscribing to a calendar from a URL; the same route works in Apple Calendar and Outlook.

03

Invalidate the address if it falls into the wrong hands

Regenerate URL replaces the previous one. The app warns outright: "This will invalidate the current URL. Any existing calendar subscriptions will stop updating". Disable feed closes it altogether — you will then see Feed has been disabled.

What does not exist yet

Once Google Calendar sync is switched on, the card will show a Connected state, a date under Last synced, a Sync now button and four switches: Sync appointments, Sync time blocks, Import external events, Exclude all-day events. There will also be Disconnect with a warning that it stops appointments syncing.

Until then there is nothing to configure and no errors that could be described here — no connection is ever created.

The iCal feed is personal: it shows the schedule of whoever generated it. The Integrations screen is opened by a clinic administrator.
