Specializations, conditions and methods

Three shared lists you pick your professional profile from. You cannot add an entry of your own by hand — instead you suggest one, and Heltio reviews it.

Specializations, Conditions I treat and Methods I use are three closed lists shared across the whole of Heltio. You pick from them under My Account → Edit Profile, and the result reaches your public profile and the filters of the clinic finder.

The lists are closed on purpose. If everyone typed their own names, a patient searching for "manual therapy" would never find the person who wrote "Maitland manual therapy". A shared list is a condition of the search working, not stubbornness.

Do not confuse this with the medical taxonomy — that describes the patient's diagnoses, this describes you.

How to do it

01

Pick entries from the list

In Edit Profile, go to the Specializations, Conditions I treat or Methods I use step. The Search... field narrows the list, and the counter below shows N selected.

The limits: 5 specializations, 12 conditions, 12 methods. Once you reach one you will see Maximum … selections reached. and cannot add another until you untick something.

One of the specializations is the primary one — that is the one shown next to your name in search results. Each step is saved separately with the Save button.

02

Report a missing entry

Under the list there is a link named after the step: My specialization isn't listed, This condition isn't listed, This therapy method isn't listed.

It opens a Request addition to taxonomy dialog with four fields: Type (filled in automatically, not editable), Polish name, English name (optional) and Why should this be added? (optional). The Polish name has to be at least 3 characters before the Submit request button unlocks; the upper bound is 80 characters. The rationale holds 500 characters.

Once sent, Heltio confirms: Request submitted. Thank you!

03

Wait for the review

The request dialog says we review requests within 3–5 business days. The decision is taken by the Heltio team, not by your clinic administrator — the lists are shared across every clinic, so a local addition would make no sense.

An approved entry appears on the list for everyone. A rejected one comes back with a short rationale — most often because it is a synonym of an entry that already exists.

When something does not work

Info

No results found.

What this means: The phrase you typed matches no entry on the list.

What to do: Try a shorter root of the word — **manual** instead of **manual therapy**. If it is still empty, use the **… isn't listed** link and suggest an addition.
Warning

Maximum 5 selections reached.

What this means: You have already picked the maximum number of entries in this step.

What to do: Untick something before adding more. The limits are 5 specializations and 12 each of conditions and methods.
Error

Failed to submit request. Please try again.

What this means: The request did not reach Heltio.

What to do: Check the connection and send again. If it repeats several times, [report it with the in-app button](/pomoc/funkcje/admin/zglaszanie-uwag-i-bledow).
