How to generate a visit summary draft

You sign the note, click Draft with AI, and check four sections. What the AI fills in, what it has no right to write, and when credits are not charged.

4 minute readReviewed: August 24, 2026

The session summary is the document the patient receives after the visit: what you did, what they should do at home, and when to come back. Instead of writing it from scratch, you can ask the AI for a working version assembled from the signed note. The draft always needs your correction — nothing reaches the patient until you close the visit yourself.

How to do it

01

Sign the clinical note

That is the one hard condition. Without a signature the button is inactive, and an attempt to generate ends with the message Sign the clinical note before drafting a summary.

The reason is simple: the summary should describe what has been closed, not a draft that is about to change. How to sign a note — here.

02

Close the visit and open the session summary

Click Complete Session in the workspace. The Session Summary dialog opens. At the top, next to the signed note, is the Draft with AI button with its price stated — Costs 5 credits.

03

Wait for the draft

While it works you see Drafting summary…, and when it finishes AI draft ready. Please review all sections. The draft carries an AI draft badge and the bar AI-generated draft. Please review every item before saving.

04

Review the four sections

  • Exercise recommendations — only exercises from your clinic's catalogue. The AI does not invent new entries; a suggestion from outside the catalogue is rejected before you ever see the draft.
  • Lifestyle recommendations — grouped as Ergonomics, Sleep, Activity, Hydration and Stress.
  • Follow-up plan — a suggested interval (Next appointment in 14 days) or No specific next-appointment timing suggested, plus outcome measures to re-score.
  • Safety checklist — items to confirm with the patient, with relevance high, medium or low.

You drop any recommendation with Remove this recommendation. The safety checklist does not block saving — the panel says outright that completing it is optional.

05

Edit by hand rather than re-drafting

Re-draft with AI asks Replace current AI draft? and warns that your edits will be lost. It costs another 5 credits.

The model is non-deterministic — a second attempt does not give you a "better" version, only a different one. If the draft is 80% right, fixing the rest by hand is cheaper and faster.

Discard AI draft clears every AI-generated field and lets you fill the summary in from scratch. The credits do not come back.

06

Close the visit

The summary reaches the patient only once you complete the appointment with your own click. Nothing goes out automatically.

What this draft does not do

The AI does not make a diagnosis, does not suggest medication and does not interpret test results. A response that starts doing so is rejected by the filter before you see it — and then no credits are charged. The filter is always on and cannot be switched off.

Nor does the draft replace your judgement. The signature on the records stays yours, whoever wrote the first version.

When something does not work

Warning

Sign the clinical note before drafting a summary.

What this means: The note is a draft, or there is no note at all.

What to do: Go back to the note panel, finish it and sign it, then open the **Session Summary** again.
Warning

No exercises in the clinic library match this body region. Add exercises first, or draft the summary manually.

What this means: The exercise section is built only from the clinic catalogue, and there is nothing in it for this body region.

What to do: Add exercises to the catalogue, or fill this section in yourself. No credits were charged.
Warning

The AI response failed the safety check and was discarded. No credits were charged.

What this means: The model started writing a diagnosis, a medication or an interpretation of a test — which the summary assistant has no right to do.

What to do: Fill the summary in by hand. The filter is always on and cannot be switched off.
Error

The AI returned an unexpected result. Please try again.

What this means: The model's response could not be read in the expected shape.

What to do: Repeat the generation. If it recurs on the same visit, fill the summary in by hand and report it to support.
Warning

Not enough credits to run this AI feature.

What this means: The clinic's balance is below the 5 credits a draft needs.

What to do: Look at [AI credits](/pomoc/funkcje/ai/kredyty-ai). You can close the visit as normal by filling the summary in by hand.

Who has access

Practitioner

The draft is generated by the person running the visit — the same one who signed the note. Generating and discarding a draft both leave an entry in the audit log, and the credit usage lands on the AI Activity page.
