A physiotherapist who works two days a week at someone else's clinic and three at her own does not need two accounts. One account belongs to both clinics, and the switcher at the top of the sidebar decides which one you are working in right now.
Switching changes everything at once: the calendar, the patient list, the services, the invoices and your role. The data of two clinics never mixes — the same patient registered at both is two separate cards there.
How to do it
Find the switcher
It is right at the top of the sidebar: the clinic's initials and its name. A screen reader announces it as Active clinic.
Pick a clinic from the list
Clicking it unfolds the list of every clinic you belong to. Before anything is chosen, the switcher reads Select clinic.
If you have an unsaved form open, Heltio asks first whether you really mean to leave it — switching clinic reloads the page against different data.
Carry on — the choice is remembered
The chosen clinic is remembered in this browser, so the next visit to the dashboard starts there. On a new device, or after browser data is cleared, Heltio picks the first clinic on the list.
Patients switch too
A patient treated at two clinics has their own switcher in the portal — Switch Clinic. They then see the appointments, exercises and messages of the selected clinic only. The patient card is separate at each clinic, so the treatment history does not merge.
When something doesn't work
No clinic selected
What this means: The browser remembers no choice — or the remembered clinic has dropped off your list.
Your account is not a member of any clinic. Contact your administrator to be added to a clinic.
What this means: You have no active membership anywhere — either it was revoked, or the clinic is still awaiting approval.
Select a clinic to view settings.
What this means: Settings are always the settings of a particular clinic, and none is active.
Who has access
A role is a property of the membership, not of the account. The same person is an admin at their own clinic and a practitioner at someone else's; the sidebar and the buttons change as you switch.
An entry in the audit log stays at the clinic where it was created — not in the account. The same goes for exports, invoices and reports: they are always produced for the clinic active at the moment of creation, so check the switcher before an export.
The list in the switcher shows only clinics with an active membership and an approved account. A clinic where your access has expired simply disappears from it — there is no separate "former clinics" screen.

Choosing the active clinic
One account can belong to several clinics. The switcher at the top of the sidebar decides whose patients, appointments and invoices you are currently looking at.
