The Exercise Catalog is one practice's collection of exercises. Each one has a name, a description, instructions, photos, video and a default prescription for three levels of ability. From the catalog you build patient programs and add exercises to plan phases.
The catalog belongs to the practice and starts empty — Heltio does not ship a ready-made library. An exercise name has to be unique within the practice.
How to do it
Find an exercise
The Search exercises… field narrows the list by name. Next to it are three filters: Body Region, Muscle Group and Equipment.
The regions are Shoulder, Knee, Hip, Ankle / Foot, Spine / Back, Neck, Wrist / Hand, Elbow, Core / Stability and Other. The equipment list is long — from Bodyweight through resistance band, foam roller and BOSU ball to an agility ladder.
The exercise card shows how many times it has been prescribed.
Add an exercise
Create Exercise opens a form: Exercise Name, Description, Muscle Groups, Body Region, Equipment, Default Video, Exercise Photos and Instructions.
You can add up to three photos, each up to 5 MB. Video is given as a link, not as a file.
Set the default prescription
The Default prescription section has three tiers: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. For each you give Sets, Reps, Hold, Duration and Rest (s).
This is the starting set that will be suggested when the exercise is added to a program — inside a program you can still change it for a particular patient.
Ask AI to fill in the description
Autofill with AI proposes a description, instructions and tags based on the exercise name. It fills in empty fields only — it will not overwrite what you have already written. A warning appears above the form that this is a draft to be checked.
Every call costs AI credits; the cost and the current balance are shown next to the button.
Delete an exercise
Delete asks for confirmation and tells you how many active programs the exercise is used in.
Deleting does not break existing programs: a program keeps its own copy of the exercise data, so the patient still sees the description and the instructions. All that disappears is the ability to add that exercise to new programs.
When something goes wrong
Complete all three tiers (sets 1–10, rest 0–600 s) or clear the section.
What this means: The default prescription is only partly filled in — for the beginner tier only, for example.
Maximum 3 photos reached
What this means: You can attach at most three photos to a single exercise.
File exceeds the 5 MB limit
What this means: The photo is too big.
This exercise is used in 12 active programs.
What this means: A warning before deletion — it tells you how many programs the decision affects.
Remove personal data from the exercise name before generating.
What this means: The exercise name contains something that looks like personal data, and that must not reach an AI model.
We couldn't recognise that exercise. Check the name or fill the fields in manually.
What this means: The name is too unusual or too abbreviated for the AI to recognise.
Not enough AI credits. Top up to use autofill.
What this means: The practice's AI credit balance is used up.
Who has access
Practitioner Clinic AdminEvery role that can see programs can browse the catalog — including the read-only ones. Exercises can be added, changed and deleted by the Owner, the Administrator and a Practitioner.
Autofill with AI requires AI features to be enabled at the practice and credits to be available.

Related features
Exercise programs — building and running them
Laying out exercises for a patient across weeks and days: prescriptions for each exercise, videos from the materials library, week copying with progression, and five program statuses.
Program templates
A program saved with no patient, ready to be assigned: two assignment routes — quick, and exercise-by-exercise customisation — plus sharing a template with the rest of the clinic.
Materials library
A shared home for the clinic's PDFs, videos, images and links: upload something once, then attach it to an exercise in a program, to a treatment-plan phase and to a visit summary.
Treatment plans and phases
A course of therapy split into phases with advancement criteria, goals measured by outcome measures and a discharge at the end — run for one patient and visible to them in the portal.
