P1 integration — overview

Who is obliged to report to the Polish e-Health system, how the configuration in Heltio runs, and where you check whether visits are actually reaching Centrum e-Zdrowia.

P1 is the Polish e-Health system run by Centrum e-Zdrowia. Heltio connects to it through two channels: Zdarzenia Medyczne (medical events) — mandatory for every entity entered in the RPWDL register — and Indeks EDM, which concerns only entities that produce electronic medical records.

The screen is called P1 Integration and is subtitled "Polish e-Health (Centrum e-Zdrowia) reporting and certification". In the menu you will find it as P1 integration (e-Health).

Does this concern you

The wizard's first step asks a single question — Are you registered in RPWDL? — and explains the rule: "P1 reporting (Zdarzenia Medyczne) is mandatory for every entity entered in the Register of Entities Performing Medical Activity (RPWDL). Trainers, dietitians and other non-medical clinics do not report".

Answering No — this clinic is not RPWDL-registered ends the matter — the remaining steps never appear, and Heltio records: "P1 reporting is disabled for this clinic. You can flip this on later in P1 settings if your registration status changes".

How to do it

The configuration is a wizard with nine steps. You go through them in order, and most of them need documents you cannot guess at — have your RPWDL register book and the access package from CeZ ready.

  1. Are you registered in RPWDL? — the opening decision.
  2. Entity identification — the register book number, NIP, REGON, the ministerial identification codes, the provider OID node.
  3. Legal profile of the entity — entity type and NFZ contract status. "This is not a setting or a preference. State the facts from your RPWDL register entry and your NFZ contract".
  4. Apply for sandbox access — CeZ assigns a test account, usually within 2–4 weeks.
  5. Generate certificate signing request (CSR) — two separate requests: one for the system certificate and one for the data certificate.
  6. Upload P1 certificates — the WSS and TLS certificates in PEM form.
  7. Practitioner identifiers — a professional licence number for every practitioner.
  8. Reporting channels — what you switch on: Zdarzenia Medyczne, Indeks EDM, receiving e-referrals.
  9. Sandbox connectivity test — a documented search for your own register entry on the CeZ server.

Steps 2–7 are described in detail in a separate article: certificate and entity configuration.

Where to check that it works

The P1 Health Dashboard — "Real-time P1 submission status and certificate health" — shows the counters Pending, Stalled, Failed (permanent) and Last Success, alongside the dates under TLS cert expiry and WSS cert expiry.

Below sits the Stalled events list with the columns Type, Status, Attempts, Created, Last error and a Retry now button. When everything is flowing you will see No stalled events — everything is flowing normally.

There is also Export audit log (last 30 days) — the first file an inspection or technical support will ask for.

When something does not work

Error

P1 integration is not configured for this clinic

What this means: A call that needs P1 while the wizard is unfinished.

What to do: Go back to **P1 Integration** and work through the steps left blank — the wizard starts from the entity details.
Warning

This clinic is not registered as an RPWDL entity

What this means: **No — this clinic is not RPWDL-registered** was chosen in the first step.

What to do: If that was a mistake, change the answer in step one. If it was not, there is nothing to do: such a facility does not report to P1.
Error

Certificate expired — submissions paused

What this means: The WSS or TLS certificate has expired. CeZ certificates are valid for two years.

What to do: Renew the certificate with CeZ and upload it in the **Upload P1 certificates** step. The dashboard warns 30, 14 and 7 days ahead — do not wait for zero.
Warning

P1 sandbox did not respond in time

What this means: The CeZ server did not answer the request. The test environment is sometimes unavailable.

What to do: Repeat the test later. Heltio retries queued events by itself — they do not have to be created again.

Clinic Admin

The wizard and the dashboard are for the clinic owner and administrator. Practitioners see the effect of reporting on a visit, but do not change the configuration.
