How to read the Error, Warning and Info markers
The same three-step scale in the problem descriptions and in the "When something does not work" sections. What each level means and what to do about it.
Three markers recur across the help centre: Error, Warning and Info. You see them in two places — on the entries in the troubleshooting list, and on every message in the "When something does not work" sections. The scale is the same in both, so it is worth reading once.
The three levels
Error
The action did not go through. Nothing was saved, no document was created, no message went out. This state will not clear by itself — something has to change, or you have to ask for help.
An example from the descriptions: This time is outside the practitioner's working hours. The appointment will not be created until you change the hour or are granted the permission.
What to do: follow the steps in the "what to do" part of the message. If they do not help, report the matter and choose the priority Blocking — I cannot work, if you really are stuck.
Warning
The action will go through, or already has, but not in the shape you expect. Something will be skipped, something will come out incomplete, something needs confirming.
An example: 3 dates have scheduling conflicts and will be skipped. The series will be created — only shorter than you ordered. The save goes through, and you notice the difference only in the calendar.
What to do: read to the end before you click on. Warnings describe exactly those situations where the mistake only becomes visible a week later.
Info
Everything is working as intended, and the outcome differs from your expectations because of a rule or a setting, not a fault.
An example: The practitioner already has an appointment at this time — overlapping bookings are allowed by clinic policy. Nothing is broken; the clinic deliberately permits it.
What to do: check the setting in question. A ticket in this category usually comes back with "that is a setting in …", so it is faster to look yourself.
Where you will see it
On the troubleshooting list every entry carries a marker beside its title — Error, Warning or Info. The list has no filter by severity; you read it whole, and the markers help you set the reading order.
In the feature descriptions and the guides, the same three describe individual messages, together with the cause and what to do.
What it does not mean
- The colour of a message in the app is not the same as the level in the documentation. The app shows one specific situation; the documentation describes a whole class. The message leads you to the article, not the other way round.
- Info does not mean "there is a way around it". Some rules are hard for legal reasons — you will not unlock a signed note or change an issued invoice. You change those only with an amendment or a correction.
- No marker does not mean everything is fine. Guides and feature descriptions carry no marker beside their title — they describe actions, not faults.
In short
- Error — nothing happened; correct it and repeat, and if that does not help, report it.
- Warning — it will happen, but not the way you think; read to the end.
- Info — it is working correctly; check the setting.
