For patients
How to export your data (as a patient)
Export your full history in PDF + JSON format. Heltio handles the process — you click once and receive an email.

You have the right to export your data — guaranteed by GDPR (Art. 20, right to data portability). In Heltio you can do this yourself, without waiting for a response from the clinic.
What's in the export
A ZIP file with two things:
- PDF — a readable overview: list of visits, notes, recommendations, exercise programs, invoices. You can print it or hand it to another doctor.
- JSON — a full data copy in a format that can be loaded into another system (if you're switching apps).
How to start the export
- Sign in to the patient portal at
heltio.pl. - Open Settings → My data.
- Click "Export my data".
- Heltio will prepare the file in the background — usually it takes less than 5 minutes.
- You'll receive an email with a download link. The link is active for 7 days.
What else you can do with your data
In the same My data tab you'll find:
- Account deletion — deletes your Heltio account. Medical records don't disappear immediately: they must be retained for 20 years per Polish law (Patient Rights Act), but they're no longer linked to your account.
- Withdraw marketing consents — disables newsletters and informational campaigns. Visit notifications and reminders keep working (they're necessary for treatment).
When the clinic has to help
In three cases Heltio asks the clinic for manual confirmation:
- Export before identity confirmation (if you've signed in from a new device in the last 30 days)
- Permanent deletion of photos/document scans (requires an administrator decision)
- Export of historical data from before the migration (if the clinic moved to Heltio from another system)
The clinic has 30 days to respond — GDPR. Heltio reminds them automatically after 7, 14, and 28 days.
